Greeting
Since our founding in 1951, we at Yukigaya Chemical Industry Co. have made steady progress as a dedicated manufacturer of special foams. At the time of our founding, Yukigaya initially produced natural rubber cushioning (e.g. for mattresses and bra pads) and packings, supporting the lives and livelihoods of the Japanese people in an era of austerity.
In the 1960s, Yukigaya began to produce cosmetic sponges and reached a major turning point in 1976. In that year, we succeeded in replacing natural rubber, which had been the material from which cosmetic sponges were made, with synthetic rubber. Through this change in our thinking, Yukigaya came to be recognized as having the largest share of the market of any company worldwide.
Ever since, Yukigaya has continued to develop its markets throughout the world, serving the diverse needs of cosmetics manufacturers pursuing worldwide sales strategies. Through this, Yukigaya has never settled for the status quo, instead emphasizing its ongoing work to develop new products.
We have also succeeded in taking the knowledge and experience we developed in the cosmetics market to apply them to completely new fields to develop new products. Specifically, Yukigaya’s elastic materials have played an essential role in automobile components, construction materials, audio equipment, and other products. We are also currently striving to expand into the environmental sector.
We at Yukigaya Chemical Industry Co. continuously work to create new value with our products, working our absolute hardest on research and development, both day and night. In the future, we will continue to work in pursuit of a special distinctiveness for our products, to create valuable elastic products suited to a variety of purposes, and to achieve a richer, more plentiful society for us all.
Mission statement
Yukigaya Chemical Industry Co. works diligently and robustly to contribute to a richer society through the development of advanced technologies and through the quality of its products, so that all people can live a fulfilling life.
